Los Angeles
Sunset Blvd. and Av. Cesar Chavez are the same ribbon of asphalt, connecting the posh neighborhoods of Pacific Palisades, Brentwood and Beverly Hills with world-famous Hollywood, trendy Los Feliz and Silverlake, rapidly gentrifying Chinatown and Boyle Heights, and fiercely proud East LA. No other street in Los Angeles captures the essence and diversity of the region than this 32-mile journey stretch of pavement, which I walked in 2007-2008 and documented with 45 rolls of Ilford black and white film.
New York
(Pending Upload)
In 2009 I started a project to walk across all 5 of New York’s Burroughs. Hurricane Sandy in 2012 put a halt to my plans and unfortunately this project is still pending completion. That said I accomplished quite a bit:
Manhattan - Broadway from Battery Park to The Bronx
Brooklyn - From the BB & Flatbush to Coney Island
2/3 of Queens
1/2 of The Bronx
Baltimore
Site of my first street photography project in 1996, Baltimore has been a city that I have enjoyed visiting and wandering through. I hope to return some ay to continue the walk I began there nearly 10 years ago.
