Most people think if you want to see famous people in LA, you need to go to Hollywood. And yes, that could happen, most famous people that live in LA, live in the hills above Hollywood, Beverly Hills and in places like Bel Air and Brentwood.

It was the crime of the decade. In 1994, an NFL superstar turned sportscaster and TV celebrity, OJ Simpson, was charged and arrested for murdering his wife and her friend. In an effort to avoid arrest, Simpson drove at high speeds along Interstate 5 in order to make a run for the Mexican border - a run he did not succeed in scoring. His trial was a media circus and the jury ended up acquitting him of the charges. He would later serve significant jail time in Nevada for unrelated crimes.

What’s the connection to Brentwood? OJ lived here with his wife. His house was the murder scene and for months TV crews were parked here. The neighborhood was never seen in the same way as OJ brought a lot of unwanted attention to this exclusive area.

So now that you know, if you go, don’t bring it up. It won’t win you any friends if you do.
